Are you thinking about registering your show at one of the major fringe or comedy festivals in early 2017? Would you like to be ahead of the game and get skilled up in how to produce your show better?

Registering your show can be stressful but then it seems like a long way away from your first opening night. Don’t let time fool you! Here is the secret tip, it's the work you do NOW that will put your best foot forward in creating a more successful season.

This two-hour workshop will give you the basics on what you need to be more organised and professional in producing your festival season by getting on top of things sooner rather than later.

We’ll look at the building blocks of producing within in a festival context, getting you excited about budgeting – oh yes it can be done - looking at marketing strategies for 2016 and how to master getting more bums on seats.

Run by Laura Milke Garner (MILKE) who has been working as Producer for 18 years. In 2008, she established her own company MILKE Performance Industry Services to help artists produce their work and also provide mentorship for artists looking to take that next step in their artistic career.

MILKE has creatively developed and produced major work for Sydney Opera House, Arts Centre Melbourne, Brisbane Festival, Brisbane Power House, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Moosehead Awards, Melbourne Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Saturday 16 July - 9:30am - 11:30am
