Built around Maurice Ravel’s iconic orchestral piece Bolero, this captivating contemporary dance piece uses repetition and duration to explore ideas of sensuality. Performed outdoors, under the stars in FAC's Front Garden, you'll witness three interpretations of the same score. The three male and ten female performers initially dance separately before coming together in the third section of the performance. It's in these final stages that choreographer Didier Theron uses stillness to convey the anxiety that desire and perceptions of the human form provoke. After so much movement the group’s stillness is jarring, dramatic and powerful.

The program opens with a new short work by LINK Artistic Director Michael Whaites, showcasing the skills of the LINK dancers to the smooth sounds of Michael Bublé.
