The Penn Law Muslim Law Students Association is excited to host Rabia Chaudry to campus to talk about the case of Serial’s Adnan Syed. In 1999, Syed was convicted of killing Hae Min Lee, a 17 year-old classmate at Woodlawn High School in Baltimore, Maryland. The suspicious circumstances of Syed’s conviction emerged under the national spotlight from the blockbuster Serial podcast presented by journalist Sarah Koenig.

Please join us for a talk by Rabia Chaudry, an attorney and close friend of Adnan Syed, as she dissects key aspects of the case and presents information not heard on the Serial podcast. Chaudry is a National Security Fellow at the New America Foundation, a Fellow of the Truman National Security Project, and a Fellow of the American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute. She is credited with first bringing Syed’s case to Koenig’s attention and brings a fresh, new perspective to this troubling case.

Please note: The Serial podcast producers are not associated with or sponsors of the talk.
