Arizona Science Center and Center for Amateur Radio Learning (CARL) volunteers will be participating the annual American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Field Day, the most popular on-air event held annually in the United States and Canada. Over 35,000 people will be gathering to operate their own Ham Shacks. Whether you are a Ham radio expert or just want to learn about the subject, come to the Arizona Science Center for demonstrations on computer and radio cooperation by real Ham operators, learn Morse Code and have the opportunity to engage in some on-air time with Ham operators worldwide.

Anyone may become a licensed Amateur Radio operator. There are over 725,000 licensed hams in the United States, as young as 5 and as old as 100. .
