ACLU of Arizona says
Arizona's elected leaders are considering SB 1445, a bill that would prohibit law enforcement agencies across the state from disclosing the names of officers involved in deadly or violent incidents for 90 days.

This bill takes authority out the hands of local officials and runs counter to our Arizona values of transparency and accountability in government.

If it becomes law, it will increase mistrust of police and encourage a culture of impunity within law enforcement. It will send a message to cities and states across the country that it's OK to keep officers' identities secret.

Speak out against this legislation at the Arizona State Capitol Executive Tower (18th Ave. between W. Adams St. and W. Jefferson St. in Phoenix) on March 24, 2015 at 4 p.m. #NoSecretPolice
