Carnegie Museum of Art says

Artists and enthusiasts of all ages! Bring a red object to the museum for a one-of-a-kind art experience. Access to Carnegie Museum of Art will be completely free for this opening event.

In celebration of Alison Knowles, you create the art by participating in one of Knowles’s event scores – Homage to Each Red Thing – as part of her opening event. The entire Hall of Sculpture will be a red grid and ready for your red object. Meet the artist, place your object within a square, pick-up another object if you choose, and watch the display transform throughout the evening.

Continue your experience in the Forum Gallery as you discover and interact with a diverse range of objects created during Knowles’s extensive career.

Then stay for Third Thursday: CELEBRATE from 8–11 p.m. for just $5.
