Get CONNECTED Each and Every Friday at The Livermore! #allmusicisconnected This week, we are pleased to get connected with one of the hardest working DJ/Promoters in the burgh, Pandemic Pete. His Pandemic Party is now in its 10th (!!!) year and was voted Pittsburgh's Best Dance Party of 2014 by Pgh City Paper. He has also been providing you with live bands on Sundays as part of the Weather Permitting (weatherpermittingpgh.com) outdoor series that takes place at the Shadyside Nursery (Look for them at New Bohemian in the colder months). Since 2005, Pandemic has been exposing the citizens of Pittsburgh to the best in global sounds, including gypsy brass, cumbia, chalga, bollywood, dancehall, bhangra, Arabic hip hop, afrobeats, African hip hop and Brazilian bass. Think a hybrid of traditional folk music and contemporary dance music from around the world. His DJ sets are borderless, combining cutting edge dance music from remote regions of the world with traditional folk music re-energizing cultural identities. Pandemic has performed at just about every type of venue and party imaginable, from the Three Rivers Arts Festival and the Carnegie International, to warehouses and bowling alleys. Connected's soundtrack is a diverse mixture of new & old & funky & deep music from around the globe. Each friday we go where we go. No plan or playlist. The goal is simply for us to connect through the music while dancing. This event is 21+.
