Saturday, May 2, is Free Comic Book Day!

Free Comic Book Day is a single day - the first Saturday in May each year - when participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores. These free books are made available by most major comics publishers (for a full list of this year’s free books check out this link:

This year’s guests include:

Dave Wachter – Local artist of Godzilla: Cataclysm, Breath of Bones, That Hellbound Train, and his creator-owned, Eisner nominated Guns of Shadow Valley. Dave will be doing sketches and signing autographs.

Shawn Atkins - Maker of comics, doer of podcasts and master of the mystic dark arts You can follow the true exploits on Gello Apocalypse.

Marcel Walker - Local photographer and comic book artist will be here documenting the event and taking photos of costumes.

John Henry Doran – Is an eleven year old cartoonist who will be here doing sketches to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The Real Pittsburgh Ghostbusters - An open roleplay group that welcomes anyone and everyone to join.

Every year this event gets bigger. Starting at 10 am when we open our doors it’s a non-stop party. We encourage our customers to wear costumes.

Our Warehouse Liquidation sale comics will be 50 Cents each for FCBD only.

Phantom of the Attic is located at 411 South Craig Street on the second floor. Our hours are 10 AM till 7 PM (though most of the free stuff will be gone before close).
