Join us Friday October 28th 6:30-8:30 pm for the closing reception of Future Voicemail, a solo exhibition by Nicholas Sardo.

A recent CMU graduate and current Bunker Projects resident, Nicholas Sardo has taken over the gallery with a giant sculptural installation titled “Future Voicemail.” With this work, Sardo is delivering audiences a hefty dose of what he likes to call “anticipated nostalgia,” or the act of turning the present into the preserved and recorded past through glorification, memorialization, and undue physical and emotional labor. He is currently fascinated by the mental gymnastics required to warp an unimportant memory into something permanently treasured. Sardo lightly refers to his practice as “an attempt to transform aspects of his extremely confused self-observation into physical beings.”
