Lena Willikens (Cómeme, Salon Des Amatuers) - Cologne

Nothing trains a DJ more than a long lasting residency. This is a truism that the Cologne-based musician and DJ Lena Willikens always proves behind the decks. For more than five years, she has been in charge of Friday night parties at Düsseldorf’s free-spirited club/bar Salon Des Amateurs. Willikens is also a dedicated member of the Cómeme record label and she runs Radio Cómeme’s globally-famed, monthly radio show “Sentimental Flashback”, which UK-based, Juno Records selected as the best podcast/mix of 2014. As a DJ, radio broadcaster, and producer, Lena is never committed to one style, all is welcome as long as it is twisted in one-of-a-kind way.

Whether she is spinning records or producing music, Lena likes to let herself go in the name of dance and free thought. Her unforeseeable selections are pooling with obscure proto-techno, jacking spirits, industrial boogie, synthesized disco, raw house and other international rhythms. So far, she has played clubs such as Golden Pudel in Hamburg, Corsica Studios in London, Panoramabar in Berlin, festivals such as Nachtdigital, Sustain Release, and Nuits Sonores, and toured throughout UK, Spain, East Europe, Mexico, North America, Japan, and South Korea. Wherever she performs, she has surprised audiences and left them amazed about how far a DJ can move a dancefloor into unknown and bizarre spheres that stay catchy, while being edgy.

M Parent (Blankstairs, Chem Club Records) - NYC

M Parent is a Brooklyn-based DJ and live hardware performer who experiments with elements of acid, breakbeat, and emotion. His DJ sets are a dynamic blend not only of genre, but of dramatic tension and euphoric release. M Parent’s first EP entitled ‘The Practice of Pseudoscience’ was recently released on San Francisco-based Chem Club records with a second EP on the way this summer on Blankstairs.
