Japanese cuisine goes Downunder during NK’s first Open Kitchen event featuring New Zealand artists Fiona Amundsen and Fuyuko Akiyoshi serving up a delicious fusion of Japanese and Kiwi inspired gastronomic delights paired with sake and New Zealand wine. Fiona’s film Machine Wind will be screening during the event as local live music by David Bernabo fills NK’s gallery.

Music: Bio: David Bernabo is an active filmmaker, musician, dancer, and visual artist. David currently performs and composes for the band/art ensemble Host Skull, sometimes dances or composes for Maree ReMalia | merrygogo, dances and runs MODULES, and is preparing installation work for a two-person show at SPACE Gallery in 2016. He curates and produces work for the Host Skull Ongoing Box imprint and co-curates the Lightlab Performance Series with choreographer Taylor Knight. David's recent projects include screening his new documentary, Food Systems, a new solo piano record titled Deep Ecology, and a recent evening-length dance work for seven movers and one musician called The Reduction.
