"Don't Wait For The Quake" Live Broadcast says
Join us for a one - hour live broadcast that seeks to further engage the community on matters pertaining to scientific indicators about a forthcoming natural disaster. It is being produced by the UO School of Journalism and Communication in partnership with OPB, and funded by a grant from the Online News Association and Knight Foundation. The program will be video-streamed live on OPB’s website and simulcast on OPB radio.

We invite you to participate in a live audience, including but not limited to, community leaders, scientists, relief agency representative, first responders, and students. We will show 5 field stories, filmed and produced by SOJC students and reflect on these stories using Harvis.

A panel discussion will follow, hosted by David Miller from Think Out Loud. Panelists include:

Chris Goldfinger, a well-known earthquake scientist at OSU

Andrew Phelps, director of Oregon Emergency Management

Participants must have a personal mobile device (phone, tablet, laptop) to participate.
