He is the author of two collections of poetry and prose, Three Beers from Oblivion (2006) and Whiskey Days (2010), which was nominated for the Oregon Book Award. His newest collection is due out Spring 2015. As of yet untitled, he is considering using White Fang or Jonathan Livingston Seagull, if they haven't already been taken. Gaffney's favorite colors are John Deere Green and Joey Ramone Black.
