Here is a little about Mothmeister...

2012. A shape shifting creature called Mothmeister is born.
Before that time it lay dormant in its cocoon for many years, collecting stuff to feed its addiction for musty Victorian taxidermy, scruffy old costumes and other junk. Out of this frenzy creativity was growing, and inspiration fueled by dreams and nightmares.
Mothmeister is the ever morphing alter ego of 2 artistic partners in crime based in Antwerp, Belgium, the home of surrealism. They regularly abandon their private curiosity cabinet to explore the world.

'Wounderland' is the place where taxidermy animals reincarnate into post-mortem fairy tale characters. Once kept inside museums and living rooms, Mothmeister brings them back to where they belong: nature. It's a weird and wonderful imaginary world, inhabited by lonesome grotesquely-masked humanoids, often accompanied by dead critters. Their 'ugly' masked portraits are a commentary on the modern-day exhibitionist selfie-culture and the beauty standards marketed by the mass media. Mothmeister sees beauty in the weird, the ugly, the decayed. Being anonymous and masked is a reaction against the big brother society. There are too many (security) cameras, focusing on our faces - Mothmeister like to hide his, as a comfort zone.
