The event creator says
Wednesday, April 5th at 6:30pm, the Hollywood Theatre presents a special Movies in Black & White screening of the Oscar-nominated documentary, I Am Not Your Negro.

Movies in Black & White is a screening series hosted by XRAYFM's Jason Lamb featuring interviews with special guests about race and cinema, followed by a post-film discussion with the audience. Panelists for this screening of I Am Not Your Negro will be comedian/writer/podcaster Daniel Martin Austin and XRAYFM's Jefferson Smith.

"In this incendiary new documentary, master filmmaker Raoul Peck envisions the book that writer James Baldwin never finished, about the lives and successive assassinations of three of his close friends – Malcolm X, Medgar Evers, and Martin Luther King Jr. The result is a radical, up-to-the-minute examination of race in America, using Baldwin’s original words (narrated by Samuel L. Jackson), and a flood of rich archival material. I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO connects the past of the Civil Rights movement to the present of the Black Lives Matter movement and challenges the very definition of what America stands for."
