"Unmistakably original, Vu’s films are brave, thought-provoking portraits of difficult relationships. He has a way of elevating his actors to heights they rightly deserve. Pham is a singular voice in the new wave of Portland film and his work should not be missed."
-Steven Richter, Director of BIRDS OF NEPTUNE

"Vu Pham is a stunning narrative filmmaker with a unique sense of camera and tone. I am a huge fan."
-Brian Padian, Director of THE BLACK SEA

"Vu Pham’s films are like precise, exploratory incisions, revealing garish slivers of reality full of dire portent and reeking of menace."

Synopses of the Films

WHERE THE FLOWERS FELL
Following the death of her mother, an irretrievably detached actress and her film director-husband retreat to a cabin in the Mt. Hood wilderness. Here, the nature of their bonds is revealed upon the altar of hidden power struggles and feverish hallucinatory revelations.

THE TRUE COLOR OF HUNGER
Set against the backdrop of a cultish political organization, "The True Color of Hunger" ponders the clashing values of two individuals brought together by radicalism and torn apart by a mystifying betrayal.

SUDDEN STARS IN THE NIGHT ZOO
At the end of a sociopathic 48-hour rampage, an emotionally challenged man is brought tumbling back to reality by his tormented wife.
