Akashic Books says
Powell's City of Books and Future Tense Books present Joe Meno discussing his new book, Marvel and A Wonder along with Nina Revoyr discussing her new book, Lost Canyon. Moderated by Joshua James Amberson.

Meno, a playwright, editor of Chicago Noir, and an award-winning fiction writer whose previous books include The Boy Detective Fails and Hairstyles of the Damned, opens his new novel on an Indiana farm in the summer of 1995. In search of a stolen horse, a sixteen-year-old boy and his grandfather set off on a quest that takes them through the end of one century and places them on the cusp of the next one.

A writer known for her evocative nature writing as well as her keen observations of relationships and social tensions, Revoyr, author of Wingshooters and Southland and an avid hiker, dramatizes the rugged landscape of the Sierra Nevada in her fifth novel. Following a diverse group through the mountains to the elusive Lost Canyon, the narrative explores the characters’ motivations and their reactions to unexpected obstacles in their path.
