The PCO Portland Chamber Orchestra says
If the aurora borealis came with a soundtrack, it would sound like the Portland Chamber Orchestra's “Northern Lights” concert. This concert evokes the spirit of the Nordic countries and pays homage to two towering Nordic composers.
Jessica Sindell, principal flute of the Oregon Symphony, joins the Orchestra for Nielsen's virtuosic Flute Concerto.
PCO will premiere incidental music Sibelius composed for the Maeterlinck play Pelléas et Mélisande – presented with a semi-staged version of the play with four noted Portland actors on stage.
