Local Water Alliance says
Hood River County residents have filed a precedent-setting ballot measure that would stop Nestlé’s plans to export over a hundred million gallons of bottled water a year from the Columbia Gorge for good… but we need your help to make it a reality!

Please join sponsors the Local Water Alliance, Food & Water Watch, Bark, the Wanapum Fishing People and CRAG on Friday Nov. 20 at 6 PM at the Lucky Lab in (915 SE Hawthorne) to learn more and support the grassroots campaign that could make Hood River County the first in the country to prohibit commercial bottled water production!

Hear first hand from local campaign organizers and Native American tribal members about plans for defeating one of the largest corporations in the world and setting the precedent that every community in Oregon can stand up against the privatization and export of its water supply.

Tribal member Anna Mae Leonard will also talk about her recent 5-day fast in Cascade Locks to protest Nestle’s bottled water scheme.

This will be a fun event, hope to see you there!
