Trains, trains, trains! What better way to celebrate Portland Train Day than at Oregon Rail Heritage Center – the only working rail museum in Portland? Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation is resurrecting Portland’s celebration of trains with the first annual Portland Train Day. ORHF’s Portland Train Day joins Train Days across the country in commemorating the completion of the first transcontinental railroad with the pounding of the ‘Golden Spike’ at Promontory Summit, Utah on May 10, 1869.

Scheduled Live Music to appear include:
10:00 to 11:30am - THE ALPHABETICIANS Children's Band
12:00 to 2:00pm - AARUN & JONATHAN Bluegrass
3:00 to 5:00pm – SAMBAFEAT Brazilian Band

Little train fans can enjoy Model Train Displays, Including a LEGO TRAIN EXHIBIT, the LONGVIEW, KELSO AND RAINIER MODEL RAILROAD and the ROSE CITY GARDEN RAILWAY.
Facepainting between 10am and 1pm.
Special Guest, Commissioner Amanda Fritz - Welcome at 2pm.
Food Trucks on-site throughout the day; including RETROLICIOUS and BIG, FAT WIENERS.
Local area visitor tourist, travel and historic rail Booths will be on-site.

Gifts and Souvenirs will be available for purchase.
Enjoy Speeder Rides.
Learn about Railroad Safety from Operation Lifesaver.
Hourly Raffle, with a Grand Prize of a roundtrip to from Portland to Eugene via Oregon's Amtrak Cascades.

The OREGON PACIFIC RAILROAD will be operating on its normal schedule, with an expanded schedule and passenger car. Trains operate between the Oregon Rail Heritage Center and Oaks Amusement Park and stop at both locations for boarding and deboarding from 10 am - 5 pm.

Round trip fares are $5 - $10 - $20 depending on the type of train you want to ride. Train rides are 45 minutes (RT) and depart on the hour at ORHC starting at 10:30 am and at the Oaks Park Amusment Station starting at 10:00 am.
