Do you find yourself at work with the office supplies arranging new worlds and creating art where once there was only the daily grind before you? Do you find yourself at parties taking the objects on someone’s coffee table and turning them into your own conceptual installation? Do you find yourself composing poetry at the office on your elevator rides? Do you find yourself constantly drawing while your friends are trying to talk to you? Do you go to your friend’s theme party as a work of art only you know about, only to find that you’re much more thematically vibrant than anyone else there? Lastly, do you spend all your time talking about how you wish you had an art show, or were motivated enough to do something in a gallery, or to make a book/film/animation or performance piece, but you just don’t think you have the time or perseverance? This workshop will show you how to time-travel to that place where all those things you find yourself doing on the regular are in fact your masterwork! Well, the practice marks for your masterwork, anyway. This workshop is 2 days of relay-race-style mark-making, building up to a book of ephemera and a one-day exhibition of the audio/video and drawn results.
