The event creator says
Sarah Haider, co-founder of Ex-Muslims of North America (EXMNA) is speaking at Portland State on Friday, May 26 at 7 p.m. in Smith Memorial Student Union, room 333. This free event is open to students and non-students, and is organized by the Freethinkers of Portland State University.

PSU philosophy professor Dr. Peter Boghossian will moderate the event.

Sarah was born in Pakistan and raised in Texas. She spent her youth as a practicing Muslim but in her late-teens began to read the Qur'an critically and left religion soon after.

EXMNA is the first organization to provide support to ex-Muslims in the United States and Canada. The nonprofit counters the isolation facing non-theist ex-Muslims by fostering communities and support networks.

Sarah's speech will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A session.
