School of Rock Portland says
This is English Post-Punk and New Wave at it's very best. The dark, pulsing, melodic and harsh sounds on Joy Division's two full length records "Unknown Pleasures" and "Closer" are both sad, beautiful and energizing. When Ian Curtis died suddenly, and on the brink of Joy Division’s first American tour, New Order formed in the ashes. Taking Joy Division's emerging interest in synthesizers and adding Bernard Sumner's penchant for pop melodies, New Order became a quintessential 80s New Wave band with such anthems as "Blue Monday", "Bizarre Love Triangle" and "Age of Consent". This show has incredible bass lines (Peter Hook!), melodic guitar riffs, fast and tight drums and ripping synth parts. Not to mention: singing these songs is an EXPERIENCE. All aboard, punks!
