Biddy McGraws says
Sister Mercy introduces April Brown to the Portland Blues scene. Originally from Los Angeles, April has desired to take her talent to the stages of the Rose City. Nina Simone & Etta James, as well as current artists such as Adele and Duffy, influence April. She was deeply involved with the music world in Los Angeles, recording and singing with top names at the Whiskey and the Roxy. She trained in comedy at the Groundlings, the training ground for Melissa McCarthey, Kristen Wigg and Will Farrell.

Sister Mercy band members have deep roots in the Oregon regional music area. Roger Espinor played with the award-winning Rose City Kings, as its original drummer and band production manager. He produced three CDs with this high-energy blues band and brings those creative, driving rhythms to Sister Mercy.
