I can tell you from first hand experience that contrary to popular belief, the contributions of women artists are still largely undervalued, often overlooked, and remain under-celebrated. For the past 4 years via Sugar Town, I've thrown a party specifically to honor the artistry of women of classic soul and R&B. THESE ARE THE VOICES THAT HAVE BUILT MOVEMENTS.
