Community Dinner Project: Support The Urban Ag Ordinance!

Community Dinner Project says
Sacramento's communities are crying out for justice! Each week that City Council is in session, we hold Organic Community Dinners on the steps of city hall, in violation of the anti-homeless laws, to bring the community together for a delicious, nutritious meal, to share information, concerns and solutions, and to pack the mic and demand action from our city council during their meetings after dinner! We are a city, not a business. People are facing homelessness, police harassment and brutality, economic injustice, criminalization, and more. The time for action is NOW. We must come together as a community and address these issues if we truly want change. Please join us for dinner, community fellowship, and community engagement each week!

This week we will support the Urban Ag ordinance being voted on by city council. This ordinance would allow residents to grow vegetable gardens on their property and sell it. This bill would help our local economy, and decrease the blight caused by vacant lots.

**We are always in need of more donated organic food, gently used/clean jackets, sweaters and blankets, and gloves/hats/ponchos. We will always strive to serve as much organic food as possible. Every one is invited to join!
