Coming out of their successful show at Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, EMN continues their revolutionary take on hip-hop culture by deconstructing and reimagining the fundamental elements of hip-hop.

For their upcoming performance at Sol Collective, EMN will showcase 4 deconstructed and reimagined pieces from classic hip-hop albums: 2 from Snoop Dogg’s Doggy Style, 2 from Wu-Tang’s 36 Chambers, 2 brand new pieces inspired by the late J Dilla’s Donuts album and Kendrick Lamar’s high concept work, To Pimp A Butterfly, as well as pieces from EMN’s first studio album.

The 4 reimagined pieces were commissioned by Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and were premiered there last November as part of its 21st anniversary celebration.

Ensemble Mik Nawooj has recently been featured on Wall Street Journal, KQED, URB Magazine, SF Chronicle, and more.
