Carrie Hennessey, Soprano says
Inspired by Théophile Steinlen’s poster for Le Chat Noir, a work included in the Toulouse-Lautrec and La Vie Moderne exhibition, Hennessey has created a program that breathes life into history. Le Chat Noir was the cabaret in the Montmartre district of Paris that became famous for being the first to include live performance, such as singing and dancing. Hennessey’s lively and inspired performance will transport you to the time of Toulouse-Lautrec, when artists, writers, and entertainers all gathered together to create la vie moderne. Space is limited and reserving tickets in advance is recommended.
