The event creator says
The traditional Dineh (Navajo) elders of Black Mesa, AZ are in the 4th decade of fighting for their lives and the life of Mother Earth. Coal mining has desecrated their land and brought illness and suffering to the people. The BM families subsist on a lifestyle of sheepherding. Their flocks of sheep are currently threatened by government-backed sheep impoundments. Please join us to learn about another way of life that persists with unfathomable resilience and beauty within the boundaries of the territories we call the United States. Join us for a film and presentation, discussion, and ritual centered around the depths of this complicated situation that is interwoven into the well-being of all of life.
