45th Annual San Diego Bay Parade Of Lights says
Join us for the 45th annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, a time-honored tradition brought to San Diego by the boating community. Participants in this year’s highly anticipated holiday boat parade will adorn their boats to fit this year’s theme, “It Began with a Roar - San Diego Zoo Celebrates 100 Years.” The parade begins at Shelter Island and proceeds to Harbor Island, the Embarcadero, Seaport Village, the Pier at Cesar Chavez Park and ends at Ferry Landing in Coronado.

The San Diego Bay Parade of Lights is held two consecutive Sundays:
• Sunday, December 11, 2016
• Sunday, December 18, 2016

Approximate Times at Locations Around the Bay (these times can vary):
• Shelter Island (start of parade): 5:30 PM
• Harbor Island: 6:00 PM
• The Embarcadero: 6:30 PM
• Seaport Village: 7:00 PM
• Pier at Cesar Chavez Park: 7:30 PM
• Ferry Landing on Coronado: 8:00 PM

The event is free for spectators. Boat owners interested in participating in this year’s San Diego Bay Parade of Lights are strongly urged to submit the registration form and the $50 entry fee online at www.sdparadeoflights.org. Everyone who participates in both nights of the parade and passes both sets of judges will be eligible to win this year’s grand prize, a luxury cruise package for two with Star Clippers, as well as the “Best in Theme” prize, a seven-night exploration for two to either Mexico's Sea of Cortez or Costa Rica and Panama with UnCruise Adventures.
