Horrible Imaginings Horror Film Festival of San Diego says
Screening ticket includes a panel on the life of director Edgar G. Ulmer (The Black Cat, Detour), featuring his amazing daughter Arianne Ulmer Cipes, as well as his biographer Noah Isenberg. We will discuss the life and work of this artist, whose work is enjoying a bit of a renaissance of appreciation. Following the discussion will be a very rare 35mm presentation of Ulmer's film BLUEBEARD from 1944, featuring horror icon John Carradine as a mad puppeteer with a penchant for strangulation! Part noir, part arthouse, all terror!
