The Point Music Film Festival and Picture This Present:

Bluegrass, Banjos, and Squirrel Barkers: This is San Diego Bluegrass Featuring a Live Music Performance by MohaviSoul

In the early 1960’s the “folk music revival” had a strong impact on bluegrass music across the country including in San Diego, California, where a group of young men from different backgrounds gathered to make this traditional music. 67 Min. 2016.

MohaviSoul formed in 2012 to create a new sound of contemporary bluegrass and Americana. As members of the San Diego Songwriters Meetup Group, Randy Hanson and Mark Miller had a chance collaboration on two compositions (both of which can be heard on MohaviSoul's first EP, Every Second) which resulted in a musical kinship. The duo joined forces to create soulful, folksy, Americana music with a contemporary bluegrass slant.
