Rare opportunity to see young piano virtuoso/composer, Chase Morrin and his East Coast Trio who will be visiting San Diego for the first time. Chase is no stranger to San Diego but hasn't been home for over a year. Chase is a 2015 Harvard graduate and now completing his Master's degree at New England Conservator of Music. Joining Chase, Jongkuk Kim on drums, 22, from South Korea and Johnny Chapman on bass, 22, from Canada. Both JK and Johnny are seniors at Berklee College of Music on full scholarship. Also joining the trio are special guests Tommy Holladay on Guitar and Yuna Kim on Violin. Tommy is also a San Diego native and graduate of Berklee and NEC, residing in NYC. Chase met Yuna this year at NEC and discovered she'll be in town visiting Tommy. This is a very rare opportunity to witness these young up-and-coming musical prodigies. Their music is a mixture of jazz, indie rock, classical, and folk music, combining complex grooves with simple lyricism and improvised spontaneity. Don't miss it!
