Experience all the ARTS DISTRICT has to offer is by attending a FREE Friday Night Liberty art walk. Taking place on the first Friday of every month from 5-9 pm, Friday Night Liberty is San Diego’s biggest FREE monthly art event! Meet working artists, enjoy dance, theatre and music performances, visit museums and galleries and explore the growing District. Visitors can start their stroll at the Information Desk in the Dick Laub NTC Command Center at 2640 Historic Decatur Road and pick up a monthly program and District map.

MOSAIC ARTS INTERNATIONAL 2016 — 5-9 PM
Casa Valencia Galería presents the Mosaic Arts International 2016 Masters Invitational featuring the works of several distinctly unique voices in contemporary mosaic art in partnership with the Niki de Saint Phalle Charitable Art Foundation with a spotlight on her work. Barracks 16. 

SHOWCASE OF MOSAIC ARTISTS — 5-9 PM
Women’s Museum of California hosts an invigorating new perspective of mosaic art in numerous contexts, this collective exhibition celebrates both established and emerging artists working in this medium today. Barracks 15.

SMASH IT! BREAK IT! — 5-9 PM
Bravo School of Art hosts an opening reception for a ground breaking exhibition of mosaic work by students from Lauren Becker Downey’s mosaic classes. Barracks 19, Second Floor. 

DANCE IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT — 6:30 & 7PM
San Diego Ballet Enjoy a teaser preview of Dance Gallery with emerging choreographers from the company presenting a one-of-a-kind mixed rep production under the direction of Artistic Director, Javier Velasco. Performances at 6:30 and at 7:00 PM at San Diego Ballet studio in Dance Place, 2650 Truxtun Road.

A BARRAGE OF MUSIC — 6:30-8 PM
Recreational Music Center showcases On The Run, a unique all-female group playing classic to modern pop rock hits from Bon Jovi to Paramore & The Doghouse a 6 piece adult Blues and Classic Rock ensemble. Performances run from 6:30 until 8:00 PM in the Plaza 17. 

LEARN TO DRAW COMIC CATS — 6-8 PM
