Specific Gravity San Diego Fringe says
SPECIFIC GRAVITY explores experiences of displacement through circus, science, and spoken poetry

The Circus Collective of San Diego fuses contemporary circus with a social consciousness in their new project which aims to raise awareness for refugees and provide a platform for first generation poets to share their stories. Archimedes’ principles of displacement, buoyancy, and specific gravity form a metaphorical framework to understand how people who are forced out of their homeland overcome obstacles, adapt, and negotiate their identity. Raw emotion and physicality, music, and authentic storytelling weave a compelling piece that celebrates courage, resilience, and our shared humanity.

After each show, the Circus Collective will be collecting donations for The Partnership for the Advancement of New Americans - PANA. PANA is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing the full economic, social, and civic inclusion of refugees in San Diego.
