The B 52s San Diego Aids Memorial Benefit says
As part of their commitment to creating a lasting tribute to the men and women whose lives have been forever changed by AIDS and HIV, the San Diego AIDS Memorial Task Force is hosting a summer concert featuring 80s legends the B-52s.

The mission of the task force, which is co-chaired by San Diego First Lady Katherine Stuart Faulconer and local LGBT activist Nicole Murray-Ramirez, is to plan and raise funds for the creation of a permanent AIDS memorial in San Diego. The AIDS Memorial Task Force is to create a place to gather, not only to honor the lives that have been lost, but also to celebrate the work of San Diego caregivers and researchers who have done so much to help those in need.

The concert will be held at Embarcadero Marina Park South.
