Owner Mr. Daniel Yoon began the first Hana Japan Steak and Seafood in 1979 in San Mateo, California. It began with very humble beginnings when in 1979 Mr. Yoon took over a lackluster restaurant and transformed the former business into one of the Bay Area's first original Teppanyaki restaurants. He proved to turn the location into a success by following his ideals for the highest quality ingredients, superior customer service, and highly skilled Teppanyaki chefs. Under Mr. Yoon's supervision, Hana Japan Steak and Seafood is established as one of the Bay Area's best restaurants.
