Located in the Mission district, Walzwerk brings authentic East German cuisine to the masses every Tuesday to Saturday. Our cozy restaurant has a museum-like décor, filled with items from East Germany. Just like walking into a friend’s living room and having a relaxing dinner, Walzwerk also has the same homey atmosphere with many personal touches. We also feature a large back room that can seat up to 18 people – they are perfect for celebrations and events of all sorts. Our menu features many German classics reinvented enhanced with a personal touch. Customer favorites include Jäger Schnitzel with spätzle, bratwurst, and potato pancakes. Our dishes are perfect with the great selection of German beers available, such as house favorite Köstritzer Schwarzbier which comes from the owner’s hometown.
