Brigid Schulte: Reclaiming The American Woman’S Leisure Time

Town Hall Seattle says
Overscheduling has become the American way of life, and The Washington Post’s Brigid Schulte has figured out how to change that. In Overwhelmed, her insightful account of how much work is too much, she paints a picture far too many can relate to and, according to her, one that disproportionately affects working mothers. She’ll analyze how the average American woman spends their free time–if they have any at all–and call out the global policies that should be adopted to fix the problem (like maternal/paternal leave and universal child care). Not just for moms, her talk will speak to anyone feeling overworked, anyone with children and a partner who works out of the home, and anyone who’s ever wondered how mom had time to do everything.
