Choir of the Sound says
Don’t miss Choir of the Sound, Everett Chorale, Rainier Chorale, and Sammamish Symphony Orchestra on the S. Mark Taper Auditorium stage in the magnificent acoustics of Benaroya Hall for one performance only of Orff's "Carmina Burana" on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM. For info about tickets and more, please call us at (206) 528-9990 or visit http://www.choirofthesound.org/tickets/

Each participating group will first perform individually. Then, in a breathtaking finale, the combined artists along with special guest soloists Glenn Guhr, baritone, Ksenia Popova, soprano, and Paul Karaitis, tenor, and members of Northwest Girl Choirs, will perform one of the most spectacular choral works of all time: Carl Orff’s magnificent and dramatic "Carmina Burana," conducted by Mark Adrian.

The pieces that Choir of the Sound will be performing in its "solo" set are Gerald Finzi's "My Spirit Sang All Day," Lloyd Pfautsch's "Musicks Empire," and Joseph M. Martin's "The Awakening." The last two were part of our 2014 winter concert at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lynnwood.
