Intro to color correction. In this class you will learn the basics of balancing and correcting your footage then applying LUT’s or Look Up Tables to give your footage a cinematic look. We will be using both Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve to achieve this process. Both pieces of software are capable of delivering professional results, it’s your choice in what tool to use. Students are encouraged to bring in their own media, there will be Red raw files, Cinema DNG and Pro Res files provided for the class to play with also. The final project for the class will be grading a 4 minute short film. This class is designed to be a light environment in the hopes of making color correction interesting and fun.
