Katrina Ji recently returned from a 19 city US tour as the only American performer with the Rajasthani Gypsy Caravan group of musicians and dancers from Rajasthan, India.

This documentary, “Rajastani Gypsy Caravan Tour”, follows the troupe around the USA, as they experience American culture first hand and Americans open their hearts to culture through the universal language of music, dance and joy.

Along with documentary film maker and dancer, Tamalyn Dallal & Katrina Ji will be at the film showing to share their experiences with dance, music, culture and travel.

Tamalyn Dallal is currently filming a documentary entitled “Pockets of Treasure, Dance, Music and Culture of America’s Deep South.” She will be showing two sections of her work in progress, about Mardi Gras in rural areas of Louisiana (very different from New Orleans) and the modernization of clogging in Appalachia.

Tamalyn has made three documentaries: “40 Days and 1001 Nights, A Woman’s Dance Though Life in the Islamic World,”(2007) “Zanzibar Dance, Trance and Devotion,” filmed in Zanzibar, Tanzania (2011), and “Ethiopia Dances for Joy,” filmed in Ethiopia (2013).
