Doreen Nicole Dankerlui, MPH, is a Senior Program Coordinator for the Global Health Initiative at Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) in Detroit, Michigan. She received her MPH in Global Health – Leadership, Policy and Management – from the University of Washington in 2012. Nicole has been engaged in global health for over 10 years, primarily coordinating STI, HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis projects. From 2006 to 2012 Nicole coordinated the Caribbean Program at UW’s International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH). Since moving to Detroit, she has continued to support I-TECH’s activities in Suriname, her home country, as Technical Advisor. In her current role at HFHS she is working on implementing the Breathmobile Program, an evidence-based intervention to address asthma in children, in Detroit.
