Dug Dance Party presents Psychic Mirrors live at Lo-Fi Performance Gallery (429 Eastlake Ave) on Friday, May 6th. The boogie funk ensemble Psychic Mirrors will be touring in support of their debut LP, Nature of Evil, out April 12th on Peoples Potential Unlimited and Cosmic Chronic Records. Resident DUG DJs will round out the bill, playing a variety of rare soul, funk, and boogie records.

The DUG Dance Party crew consists of David James, Greasy, Jon Francois and Christian Science. The Seattle DJs seek to provide you with the heaviest vintage sounds around at their monthly party at the Lo-Fi. If you enjoy dancing to soul, funk, jazz, disco, boogie, psych, latin—DUG is the place for you!

Psychic Mirrors is a six-piece band from Miami, FL; formed in 2010. Their music is an amalgam of boogie funk, yacht rock and wavy synth jazz. Known for tracks like “I Come for Your Love,” “The Witching Hour” and “Charlene,” the group began cutting singles on their home label Cosmic Chronic in 2011, ultimately gaining the attention of Peoples Potential Unlimited and Red Bull Music Academy (where bandleader Mickey de Grand IV spent October of 2014 participating in RBMA Tokyo). Following the release of their debut LP Nature of Evil in April 2016, the ensemble will be making their way across the US and Canada to showcase their modern Caribbean sound.
