It's FREE! Kicking off at 2pm on Saturday, February 21, the 30th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards (produced by IFP) will be hosted by Fred Armisen (Portlandia) and Kristin Bell. Nominees include Oscar-favorites Boyhood, Birdman Movie, Selma Movie, and Whiplash, along with true indies like Dear White People, Obvious Child, and a host of other film festival favorites. As the first event to honor independent film exclusively, the Film Independent Spirit Awards has made a name for itself as the premier awards event for the independent film community.
