The Seattle Public Library says
The Juliet Project is an original 30-minute performance inspired by letters that people from all over the world have written to the protagonist of Shakespeare’s timeless, perpetually popular play, “Romeo and Juliet.” Through movement, song, humor, and heartache, the diverse cast explores the connection that people throughout the past and present have with Juliet regardless of age, gender, race, or sexual orientation.

The live performance will take place 4-4:30 p.m. For the half hour after the show, there will be a letter-writing station for audience members to write and submit their own letters to Juliet.

This event is just one in a series of events The Seattle Public Library is hosting or co-sponsoring in celebration of First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare, a nationally touring exhibit which will be hosted at the Central Library from March 21 to April 17, 2016. Considered one of the most important books in the world, a rare copy of Shakespeare's First Folio will be on display at the Central Library for four weeks, along with immersive and interactive displays, live performances, scholar lectures and more.
