Contrary to what most people believe, journalist Fred Pearce says the presence of these creatures is actually a good thing. In The New Wild, he outlines the many ways the world’s invasive species–whether in urban areas or remote countrysides–are the key to preserving our modern ecosystem. He’ll give insight into the post-climate change era and how non-native species interact with native species in positive, sometimes unexpected ways. He’ll also argue that, in order to move forward in the trenches of conservation, the planet needs these “can-do aliens” and the fresh energy they bring.
