Town Hall Seattle says
In 1976, current Seattle Storm co-owner Ginny Gilder and her rowing teammates staged the now-famous Title IX naked protest at Yale, in response to unfair treatment by the university. Decades later, their actions–and subsequent response by the Title IX community–continue to shape the playing field for women. Course Correction is Gilder’s inspiring memoir of overcoming the odds as a female athlete, becoming an Olympian, and struggling with personal sexual identity. She’ll appear in conversation with KUOW’s Marcie Sillman (a former rower herself), to share how Title IX impacted her both personally and professionally throughout the past 40 years.
