Jen Pahlka: Powering A Better Government With Better Technology

Code for America’s Jen Pahlka will discuss how government can deliver better services that have tangible impacts in communities—with new technologies, apps, and transparency at the forefront. Drawing on her experience as former US Deputy Chief Technology Officer, and the knowledge of Code for America’s network of open source technologies, Pahlka will provide concrete examples of how to change the current political system. She’ll also offer advice on how ordinary citizens can use their skills to partner with—and possibly fix—local and national government systems.
