A citywide “pub crawl” for all-things literary, LitCrawl Seattle returns to venues across town in an evening of free readings by beloved Northwest writers and emerging new voices. The Town Hall edition–which includes special happy hour prices at our cafe–brings together Salon.com writer Sarah Hepola and Melissa Febos (called one of “Five New Queer Voices to Watch Out For” by Lambda Literary) for a discussion of recovery and addiction. They’ll read excerpts from their memoirs–Hepola’s struggle with drinking and the unhealthy consequences in the aptly-titled Blackout; and Whip Smart, which details the effects of Febos’ admittedly unusual part-time job in college as a professional dominatrix.
